Abstract
The partial and total mass attenuation coefficients μ/Ï(cm2g-1) of photons at energy of 1 keV-100 GeV have been calculated as a function of atomic number and photon energies using the XCOM program (version 3.1) and data base and the calculated results were compared with the measurement. The results show that the mass attenuation coefficients (μ/Ï) depend on incoming photon energies and Z numbers of the target nuclei.
