Abstract
The properties of radiation through an aerosol medium have been achieved. This has been done by employing Mie scattering theory to calculate the radiation transfer scattering parameters in the form of extinction, absorption and scattering efficiencies. The equation of radiative transfer for the heat flux through a plane parallel atmosphere of aerosol has been solved. The aerosol size distributions are found in practical systems. Average efficiencies over size distribution for spherical particles of complex refractive index are calculated. Therefore, the radiative properties of stratospheric aerosols have been done. The obtained results found to be in a good agreement with the previous work.
