Abstract
Some calculation techniques with the Monte Carlo method in stray radiation evaluation such as imaginary covers, domain decomposition, coordinate conversion, principle of weight-equivalent sampling, randomness of radiant characteristic of heat insulating coat are described. Employing these techniques, the stray radiation calculation for a large optical system can be achieved in a personal computer. Taking a satellite-borne optical system, for example, the stray radiation flux and stray radiation environment of the system is obtained. The calculation results present a reference for the design of the optical system.
