Abstract
More than 400 absolute line positions and intensities of acetylene have been measured for the two cold bands ν3 and ν2+(ν4+ν5)+0, and four strong hot bands occuring in the 3-μm spectral region, from Fourier-transform spectra. Accuracies are on the average 0.0005cm-1 for line positions and 5% for line intensities. Vibrational transition dipole moment values have been deduced, as also empirical Herman-Wallis coefficients, and comparisons have been made with previous results.
