Abstract
Gold on carbon catalysts, designed for liquid phase oxidation, have been prepared on 80-500Â g scale and evaluated for alcohols and carbohydrates oxidation using glucose and ethane-1,2-diol as model molecules. Physico-chemical properties of 0.8% gold on carbon X40S and 1% gold on carbon XC72R catalysts are discussed along with scaling up effect.
