Abstract
The selective hydrodechlorination of tetrachloromethane (CCl4) was performed over supported platinum-gallium catalysts to improve CHCl3 selectivity and catalytic stability. The Ga addition will significantly increase the dispersion of Pt and create more Pt sites on the catalyst surface. The influence of Ga on the selectivity and conversion can be ascribed to its modification to the electronic properties of Pt.
