Abstract
TiO2-Ag nanoparticles were prepared with the sol-gel method using a reduction agent. The major phase of all the prepared TiO2-Ag nanoparticles was anatase structure regardless of the AgNO3 content. TiO2-Ag nanoparticles possessed a spherical morphology with a narrow size distribution. Also, the presence of Ag improved the photocatalytic activity of TiO2-Ag and the photodegradation of model contaminant p-nitrophenol.
