A recyclable protocol for aza-Michael addition of amines to α,β-unsaturated compounds using Cu-Al hydrotalcite

A recyclable protocol for aza-Michael addition of amines to α,β-unsaturated compounds using Cu-Al hydrotalcite Aza-Michael adducts are obtained in very good yields by the conjugate addition of amines to α,β-unsaturated compounds using Cu-Al-CO3 hydrotalcite catalyst. The catalyst is used for four cycles with consistent activity and selectivity.
