Abstract
The calcination of RuO2/CeO2 prepared by a wet reduction method produced RuO bonds, which were enhanced by heating in O2. The ESR study revealed that the RuO bonds discriminated between their reactivity with propylene and ethylene. The difference comes from the presence or absence of allylic hydrogens. The catalysts were tested for oxidation of propylene.
