Abstract
A series of ecofriendly solid acid catalysts was synthesised by supporting 12-tungstosilicicacid onto hydrous zirconia. The support and resulting catalyst was characterized by various spectral, thermal and physiochemical techniques. Their catalytic properties were evaluated for the esterfication of n-butanol, iso-butanol, 2-butanol and cyclohexanol with different acid.
