Abstract
A new type of fluorinated strongly acidic polymers has been prepared and characterized. The catalytic activity and recycling ability have been examined for direct esterification of carboxylic acids with alcohols. It is indicated that the PPFSI was a strongly acidic polymer, which could be tolerant of high temperature, and an effective catalyst for direct condensation of carboxylic acids and alcohols.
