Abstract
Hydroformylation of 1-dodecene catalyzed by water-soluble rhodium complex RhCl(CO)(TPPTS)2 [TPPTSÂ =Â tris(sodium-m-sulfonatophenyl) phosphine] was carried out in the micellar system. Higher reaction rates and higher regioselectivities toward the desired linear aldehyde were obtained in the cationic gemini surfactant solutions than those in the conventional monomeric surfactant CTAB solutions.
