Abstract
Vanadia and molybdena catalysts with monolayer coverage supported on alumina and titania were tested for the oxidative dehydrogenation of C2-C3 alkanes to the corresponding alkenes. The support was found to have a great impact on the catalytic performance with titania exhibiting significantly higher reactivity with both alkanes.
