Abstract
Isobutene oligomerization over sulfated TiO2, prepared by three methods was investigated: (i) “in situ” sulfation using sulfuric acid, (ii) gelling with nitric acid and sulfation (a) and (iii) gelling with ammonium hydroxide and sulfation (b). The samples showed L/B ratios of 3.65, 1.82 and 1.25, respectively. It is proposed that, for the butenes oligomerization on sulfated TiO2, at higher L/B ratio catalyst stability is improved.
