Abstract
⺠Lending of banks to banks forms relationships between banks that change over time. ⺠I analyze the dynamics of the bank-level global banking network. ⺠Fewer new relationships are formed after recessions and banking crises. ⺠Developing countries are more susceptible than industrial countries. ⺠Large banks were especially hard hit during the global financial crisis.
