Abstract
⺠We use an earthquake to identify the effects of transport infrastructure on exports. ⺠Our analysis exploits firm-level export data and geo-referenced infrastructure information. ⺠Diminished transport infrastructure had a strong negative impact on firms' exports. ⺠This impact primarily originated from a reduction in the number of shipments. ⺠Exports of more homogeneous goods from large firms were particularly affected.
