Abstract
⺠We test the theory that vertically integrated industries are less sensitive to judicial quality. ⺠We show that judicial quality matters less for exports of vertically integrated goods. ⺠Our results are highly robust-not driven by primitive industry characteristics. ⺠Firms' organizational form thus helps them to cope with poor contract enforcement.
