Abstract
The overall project, called the IEA GHG Weyburn CO2 Monitoring and Storage Project [2] [IEA GHG Weyburn CO2 Monitoring and Storage Project, http://www.ieagreen.org.uk], was created to predict and verify the ability of an oil reservoir to securely and economically store CO2. Research activities in the project were divided into four “themes” that applied leading-edge science and engineering in geophysics, geomechanics, geochemistry, geology, reservoir engineering, risk assessment, and economics.
