Abstract
This paper reports measurements of densities of aqueous EMISE (1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethyl sulfate) using a Westphal balance as a gravimetric technique in a temperature range of 278.2Â K to 338.2Â K. Values of the apparent molar volumes of aqueous EMISE were calculated and were treated by Pitzer-Simomson theory and Clegg-Pitzer theory, respectively. The values of Pitzer-Simomson parameters and Clegg-Pitzer parameters were obtained by fitting experimental data.
