Abstract
The steady state response of a semi-infinite micropolar elastic medium with voids at the free surface is determined. The analytic expressions of the displacement components, force stress, couple stress and volume fraction field are obtained by the use of Fourier transform technique and the numerical results are illustrated graphically for magnesium crystal-like material. Special cases have been deduced.
