Abstract
⺠Workers switching industry/occupation in Mexico's crisis lost 10% more than non-switchers. ⺠Many workers became less productive in the process of migrating to different economic activities. ⺠Possible explanations are loss of specific skills and the destruction of productive matches. ⺠These productivity losses, can explain 40% of the observed fall in TFP in Mexico in 1995.
