Abstract
⺠There has been considerable time variation in wage dynamics. ⺠The degree of wage indexation was much higher during the Great Inflation period. ⺠Wage-price spirals amplified the effects of inflationary shocks during the 1970s. ⺠The degree of wage indexation is not structural.
