Abstract
Water sources contain varying quantities of micropollutants ranging from low in well water, medium in surface water and high in waste water. The growing demand for high water quality underlines the need for treatments capable of removing all kinds of contaminants. With the use of ultrafiltration (UF) and of microfiltration (MF), it is possible to produce waters of high quality which can be used or reused in different ways. This paper presents the performances obtained by a number of different applications, with industrial and medium-scale units in operation for several years, manufactured by Filterpar Srl, and based on the FLAMEC (FLAt MEmbrane Cassette) UF/MF technology.
