Abstract
Exact numerical solutions, essentially free of empiricism were obtained for fully developed turbulent forced convention in concentric circular annuli with uniform heating on the inner wall and no heat transfer the through the outer wall. The numerically computed values of Nu are represented almost exactly as a function of Nu0, Nu1, Nuâ, and Prt/Pr. Here, Nu0 and Nuâ are the limiting and asymptotic solutions for Pr = 0 and Pr â â respectively, and Nu1 is the special solution for Pr = Prt â 0.8673. The predicted values for all Re, all Pr, and all aspect ratios are in agreement with the experimental data within their scatter.
