Abstract
This paper presents the development and realization of a portable module for medical surveillance. The module contains multiple sensors: a three-electrode ECG circuit, three accelerometers, a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor. The module is also equipped with a microcontroller for data-acquisition and a serial interface for communication with a PC. It serves as a data logger and is able to record all channels for a period of about 14Â min and 5Â s. An interface for the PC has also been developed. The capability of collecting synchronized physical parameters offers a surplus value for medical analysis.
