Abstract
It is desired to obtain useful information on fatigue by testing laboratory specimens under random loading that most nearly simulate service. Therefore, accurate random load according to a given power spectrum is an important technique for laboratory fatigue test. By accurate, we mean that the load process on a specimen may achieve a predetermined value of correlation coefficient between its power spectrum and the target one. This paper discusses an iteration method for accurate random loading. A testing case is demonstrated.
