Abstract
Elasticity method is developed to study the bending and free vibration of simply-supported angle-ply laminated cylindrical panels in cylindrical bending. The present analysis is completely based on the state-space formulations, which is very effective for laminated structural analysis. In particular, exact solution is derived for the static bending problem by virtue of a variable substitution technique. Approximate analytical solution is derived for dynamic problem by employing the layerwise method. Numerical results are finally presented. The current study should serve as a necessary supplement to related works in the literature.
