Abstract
Substitution of the asbestos fibres and other fibres, in particular natural and polymers, causes decreasing thermal stability of the friction materials applied in automotive industry. The waste composite with thermosetting epoxy resins was prepared by thermal destruction and have been used to the production of friction materials. An additive of composite recycle material has an advantageous influence on the friction coefficient value stabilization at an elevated temperature and limits the phenomena of thermal destruction of the friction material, which allows to increase the temperature of using the friction material.
