Abstract
The exact description of hysteresis curve is very important for ferroresonance studies. Many authors are using only magnetization curve together with a static description of core losses. This description is not sufficient, because it does not provide proper description of hysteresis curve in saturated area. One way leading to obtain the dynamic core loss representation is presented. The effect of using this kind of representation, to predict the initiation of ferroresonance phenomena in a series RLC system more accurately is shown. The Bifurcation diagram and the 2D sensitivity analysis are used for these purposes. It is also shown that standard Poincaré maps cannot provide information concerning the symmetry of solution nevertheless, Q maps can be successfully used.
