Abstract
Using the technique of averaging we study the behavior of the nonlinear dynamical system generated by a simple model of pulse combustor operation; the existence of a periodic solution (cycle) for this system is established for those cases in which a ratio of parameters associated with the burning rate submodel and the natural frequency of the system is sufficiently small.
