Abstract
Several characterizations of harmonizable random fields when the indexing set is Rn,n⩾2, or G an LCA group as well as for nonlocally compact groups are presented. Some problems when G is a separable Hilbert space or the field is valued in an H*-algebra Hilbert module are discussed. Isotropic fields and also for fields valued in certain Banach spaces are outlined. Full details of new results will appear later.
