Abstract
This commentary uses constructs from the philosophy and sociology of science to explore the findings reported in Mason's, Myers', and Darity's, “Is There Racism in Economic Research?” Additional research focusing on the identification of research networks using citation and social network analysis is proposed as an extension of efforts to understand how race and racism affects research examining racial discrimination, consistent with the perspective advanced in Coleman's, “Racism in Academia: the white superiority supposition in the search for knowledge.”
