Abstract
We propose preparation of a superposition of 2N circular squeezed states of stationary fields inside a high-Q cavity. Statistical properties of this state (photon number distribution, sub-Poissonian effect) and other nonclassical effects (squeezing, collapse-revival of the atomic inversion, nonclassical depth) are studied. New interesting features exhibited by this superposition are observed, as one reminding us of the devil's staircase, showing a large sudden change in the variance of a quadrature operator, as well as the possibility to obtain a special family of squeezed Fock states, S^(z)|2Nã.
