Abstract
⺠A mood-utility link is incorporated into a dynamic theory of health investment. ⺠An optimal control model is developed to capture the mood-utility link. ⺠A qualitative analysis of the optimal control model is carried out. ⺠Several unanticipated results emerge from the comparative dynamics analysis. ⺠One example is that the marginal value of health can be negative or positive.
