Abstract
A dynamic ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) of marine sediments has been optimized using experimental design methodology. Comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GCÂ ÃÂ GC) using a cryogenic modulator, and time-of-flight-mass spectrometry (TOF-MS) were used to separate and identify environmental pollutants. Six compounds from three different chemical classes were used to optimize the extraction parameters.
