Abstract
•A qq-nonextensive K–dV equation is derived.•Trends of the ion-acoustic soliton energy are studied.•The soliton energy is depleted as qq increases.
The role electron nonextensivity may play on the energy carried by the ion-acoustic (IA) solitons is examined. A Korteweg–de Vries (K–dV) equation is derived. It is found that an increase of the nonextensive parameter qq leads to a decrease of the soliton amplitude and width. The soliton energy is depleted as qq increases.
