Health and consequently the quality of cares, is a basis for development. To reach this quality a simple but good and strong biology is necessary. Install or improve a basic laboratory in a primary care centre, sometimes without electricity or tap water, may be difficult. If activity is limited to common and necessary analysis, the technical issues are not very hard but for all challenges the human part is essential. We have to understand local conditions, to convince, to teach, to participate to thinking, and to give very quickly the responsibility to local managers.
