Abstract
The elaboration of a personnalised patient medical file should lead to the integration of the pathology data (both macroscopy and histology), particularly in oncology. Together with a standardized report being created in France for the Cancer Plan, it appears with more and more evidence that a digitized file associated with the report, comprising macroscopical and histopathological images, might be very useful to demonstrate the data produced in the report and to improve quality insurance. Our study evaluated a pathological file linked to a lung resection for lung carcinoma and constituted the basis for a standardized protocol and a digitized file. The fast development of digitalization will lead us to take into account the automatization of the digitalization of histological slides.
