Abstract
The temperature dependence of the 7Li-NMR line width of LiCuO2 was measured. The line widths were constant at low temperature, while a narrowing in the line widths was observed above 370 K. The results are explained by a model of thermally activated diffusion of Li+ ions. The activation energy for the Li+ ionic diffusion was estimated to be 0.23 eV in LiCuO2, being lower than that in LiCoO2. It indicates that the fast ionic diffusion occurs in LiCuO2.
