Abstract
Et3B/O2 and Bu3SnH were used for the radical addition of perfluoroalkyl iodides RFI (RF = C2F5, C6F13, C8F17) to 3 and the in situ reduction of addition product. Deprotection of 5 leads to polyfluoroalkyl racemic α-amino acids 6.
