Abstract
The use of ultrasound dramatically decreased the reaction time of the hydrogenation of sterically hindered and electron poor perfluoroalkylalkenes. The reaction was performed at room temperature under hydrogen at atmospheric pressure. The yields are approximately the same for the various linear alkenes and higher in the cycloalkene series.
