Abstract
A super-hydrophilic amorphous titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin film was prepared by simple electrodeposition method from aqueous peroxo-titanium complex solution. The surface structure was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The hydrophobic amorphous TiO2 film was converted into super-hydrophilic by the irradiation of ultraviolet (UV) light. The super-hydrophilicity of the films was controlled reversibly by alternate UV irradiation and storage in the dark.
