Abstract
A thermogravimetric analysis of four benzoxazole metal complexes, interesting compounds in the organic light emitting devices technology, was performed in order to characterize their thermal behavior, because the thermal stability is an important parameter for the commercial use. The complexes showed to be very thermostable, with melting points over 360 °C and decomposition temperatures over 392 °C. A spectroscopic study showed that the complexes have an intense fluorescence in the blue region in solution and in the solid state.
