Abstract
A technique is proposed in this paper for the estimation of the phase of a carrier frequency interferogram. The technique uses a spatially adaptive wavelet thresholding to denoise the interferogram. Next, it uses interferogram modulation, Hilbert transform and a feedback loop to produce an estimation of the phase. An example is given in which this technique is applied and excellent agreement between the exact and approximate phase values is demonstrated.
