Abstract
The photon statistics of the light transmitted from a weakly driven optical cavity containing weakly driven identical two-level atoms are investigated. The second-order intensity correlation function for the light is derived analytically in the case of purely radiative atomic decay and is numerically calculated in the case taking into account atomic nonradiative dephasing. It is shown that large nonclassical effects can be obtained even in the weak coupling regime by choosing the ratio between the amplitudes of the two driving fields.
