Abstract
We describe a full-field optical coherence tomography (OCT) system for extracting 2D cross-sectional images from a multiple-layer information carrier. A simple and practical method is used to remove the fringes in the extracted cross-sectional interference images. To the best of our knowledge, for the first time, the inter-layer-modulation effect of 2D OCT is proposed and analyzed. The related algorithms for de-modulation and image enhancement are formulated. This system has the potential to be used for document security and object identification.
