Abstract
The influence of the phase coherence decay process on the characteristics of both the single solitary pulses in stimulated Raman scattering and their train has been theoretically studied with the aim of their further application in practice. The strong correlation between the phase coherence decay time and solitary pulse position in the depletion region of a pumping pulse, as well as the solitary pulse duration has been found. The new method of the short pulse train generation has been proposed.
