Abstract
We investigated the folding kinetics of a series of two-state proteins by using the model of general random walk in native contact number space, and derive the observed linear relationship between the logarithms of the folding rate constants and the numbers of native contacts from “kinetic viewpoint”. The protein folding speed limit and stability in this model are consistent with experimental observations.
