Abstract
The influences of applied deformation and latent hardening on the plastic anisotropic response of one-pass equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE) copper are explored. The size of the plastic deformation zone used to model the applied ECAE deformation and the value of the latent hardening parameter in the single-crystal hardening law are shown to significantly influence many important aspects of texture evolution and plastic response. Best agreement with compression tests on one-pass ECAE copper occurs when the latent hardening between non-coplanar slip systems is slower than active hardening.
