Abstract
Nd3Fe29âxTix (x = 1.5-2.0) alloys produced by the melt-spinning technique consisted of the Nd3(Fe,Ti)29 and amorphous phases. The amount of amorphous phase in the melt-spun ribbons increased as the Ti content increased. Annealing of the melt-spun ribbons resulted in the formation of the single Nd3(Fe,Ti)29 phase. The saturation magnetization of the Nd3(Fe,Ti)29 phase was found to be 120 Am2 kgâ1 at room temperature.
